Have you ever dreamt of opening your own PMU & Microblading Salon in Spain? We spoke to Everlasting Artist, Amanda Read who made it a reality.

At Everlasting Brows, we love to champion our incredible artists! This month we spoke to Amanda Read, a very talented PMU & Microblading Artist who moved from the UK to launch her dream salon in Alicante, Spain.

'From the UK to the Costa Blanca, here Amanda discusses how the Everlasting Brows Microblading Course pushed her career to another level and inspired her to launch The Beauty Lounge in Alicante, Spain that offers a range of PMU & Microblading treatments.'

What did you do before you entered the PMU & Microblading Industry?

I have worked in the beauty and nail industry for over 31 years. I have always been passionate about beauty; it is a wonderful industry to work in. I have worked in salons, as well as a mobile artist.

What inspired you to become a PMU & Microblading Artist?

I had experience of my brows becoming sparse and I was amazed how Microblading can enhance your natural features, giving you a lovely set of fuller natural looking brows that last around 2 years. I was also mesmerised by how Microblading can completely transform your brows and in some cases, it can make clients look 10 years younger. This inspired me to train with Everlasting Brows as a PMU & Microblading Artist.

What training did you undertake? 

I undertook the Everlasting Brows accredited Microblading Course that teaches you the art of microblading with lots of practical and theoretical training. 

How did the Everlasting Brows training courses advance your career?

The Everlasting Brows Microblading Course pushed my career to another level, I learnt so many invaluable skills, from perfecting my techniques to learning how to be able to make clients happy at the end of the treatment. The Everlasting Educators gave me the skillset and confidence to pursue a career in PMU & Microblading.  I now own a salon and run a very successful business, and I credit a lot of the success down to this course, as it was a very pivotal point in my career.

What has been your key career highlight as a PMU & Microblading Artist?

My key career highlight as a PMU & Microblading Artist was that it gave me the flexibility and independence to move to Spain to be with my family and open my dream salon. I have been living in Spain for over 6 years now, I love my job and the Spanish lifestyle in Costa Blanca. 

Where do you see yourself in 5 years’ time?

My business has grown from strength to strength since it launched, and I have ambitious plans for the future. I would like to eventually open a second salon, so I can grow my business even more.

What is the best career advice you can give to new artists entering the PMU & Microblading industry?

My advice to new artists entering the PMU & Microblading industry is to undertake professional training and practice as much as possible. I did a lot of promos when I first started out to build my client base. If you work hard and stay focused, you will succeed!
